An awesome TV!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new LG Nanocell TV!!! This was un upgrade from my old 70" LG 4K UHD TV (70UJ65) and the picture difference is definitely noticeable. I'll start by saying that LG's Nanocell has an amazing picture quality, with stunningly bright/vivid colors and deep/dark blacks. The TV has various preset picture modes and multiple settings that allow you to choose the screen/picture quality that is best for whatever you're watching. It has HDMI 2.1 connections and support for low input lag and VRR for video games, which was a big deal for since I play alot of PS4. It has all your favorite streaming apps and Apple TV support. The magic remote is pretty cool and the voice command suport allows for both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Now for the cons. LG hasn't exactly made their display setting entirely transparent so you'll have to play around with every individual setting until you find which is best for your preferred viewing style. I prefer fast refresh rates and clear and sharp picture, in other words I like the "Soap Opera Effect" when I watch TV or Movies. So it was an annoying hassle trying to figuring out with motion settings which one was 120hz and which one would be set to try and upscale to reach the 240hz trumotion that is advertised. They have a description of all the settings on their website but it hasn't been updated for the new 2020 TV lineups. Out of all the apps available they don't have any HBO app support, idk what LG has against HBO but it was the same issue on my old TV. Lastly the price is pretty high, I had bought it when the discount wasn't great and just as I did they decided to drop it another $100 for BB Elite members. Overall its still an amazing TV and I love it, itll be with me for quite sometime.

Led tvs have come a long way
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from a first Gen LG oled and this was an upgrade in many ways. From brightness, sdr content looked great, web os was fast with plenty of options.... The only 2 drawbacks for me was the lack of 3d & the fact that the TV crushed black levels. For example, in a game like resident evil 6, it's dark but there are details in that darkness... There were no details here. Just blotchy black areas.... And that is ultimately what led me to returning the TV. Dark content just didn't look detailed. But outside of that, I thought this TV looked better in almost every aspect over the Cx oled I replaced it with which also was returned for making sdr content look awful.

Living Room Transformed to Theater Room
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I have been absolutely blown away by the performance, features & aesthetics of the LG Nanocell 90 Series. The 75" is absolutely massive and had to enlist the help of my younger brother just to get it out of the box and set it up (so have somebody on hand). The click and point remote is an innovative feature that I enjoy having and the WebOS is consistently smooth and operates very well albeit missing some apps I was using with my RokuTV but that didn't always run at a top notch performance like the WebOS does so +1 for LG. I was looking for a full featured hdmi 2.1 display to check all the boxes on my new Xbox Series X and this does so effortlessly (the sheer amount of basic and advanced settings available to tinker with is remarkable) 120hz and VRR is definitely a game changer (literally). I could go on and on about how satisfied I am with the purchase of this tv but I don't have all day to do it and so I will leave you with a feature that I didn't know about prior to purchasing that has surprised me the most. The built-in Media Server is absolutely amazing and works far better than any third party media servers I have used in the past. With the click of a few buttons (after configuring your laptop/desktop to enable sharing and so on) you can browse those files on your computer and click on whatever you want to watch/listen, no more dealing with the time consuming transfer to a USB device (although it supports that as well). I have full 4k HDR movies that I stream from my laptop and never once has there even been a stutter. LG will be my go-to company for every single TV purchase I make in the future, Bought on 1/8/21 and price dropped on 1/17/21 and price match saved me an additional $200. No company compares to BEST BUY for making expensive purchases!

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between a NAnoCell and OLED?
Asked by Gloglo.
- A:Answer NanoCell TV technology is different from OLED technology that is present in LG TVs. Previously, LG used to refer to NanoCell technology as IPS-Nano. It is because the technology was a combination of LG’s IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD technology and nano cells. The result is a two-fold improvement in the viewing experience. NanoCell technology comprises of using a light-absorbing material that blocks the wavelengths between green and red color filters. Generally, the colors in this wavelength of 580 and 610 nm pass through in the standard TV technology. As a consequence, this contributes to the desaturation of red and green colors. It is also called bleeding of the red light in green and vice-versa. By blocking this light, the NanoCell technology ensures the production of pure red and green color on the TV screen. The cutting-edge NanoCell technology filters out the dull colours to enhance the prominent RBG colours to ensure the display of vibrant and lifelike images on the LG TV screen. NanoCell technology allows viewing from angles as wide as 178 degrees, thereby providing a fantastic viewing experience for the entire family. NanoCell technology can produce incredible contrast with the Full Array Local Dimming feature available on some of the top-end LG NanoCell TV models. The precise controlling of backlighting ensures the production of the deepest blacks on the TV screen. The LG NanoCell TVs are available in Ultra HD and 4K Cinema HDR resolution, including Dolby Vision. OLED does not have any backlight. Therefore, this technology can create perfect blacks., thereby producing high-quality contrast. The additional advantage is that this technology can fit into the thinnest of TV screens. It can also fit into the curved screens. Therefore, it improves the viewing angle considerably. OLED is "emissive," meaning the pixels emit their own light. OLED stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode. Somewhat surprisingly, the “Light Emitting-Diode” part of that name has nothing to do with an LED backlight as it does with LED TVs. Instead, it refers to the fact that every single pixel in an OLED TV is also a teeny, tiny LED light — but one that is incredibly thin and can produce both light and color in a single element. In other words, OLED TVs don’t need a backlight because each pixel produces its own light. If you want to impress your friends, you can use the industry terms for these kinds of displays: “Emissive,” or “self-emissive.” There are several advantages to this design, but most would agree that when it comes to OLED TVs, the biggest advantage is the superb black level that can be achieved. Unlike an LED TV that must dim its backlight and block what remains for dark scenes, an OLED TV simply turns off the pixel. When the pixel is off, it emits no light and no color, making it as dark as when the TV itself is turned off. With no separate backlight, it’s also a lot easier to make an OLED screen flexible, which is why OLED pioneer LG has developed several OLED TVs that roll up (or down) to disappear entirely. Only one company currently makes OLED TV panels: LG Display. It sells those panels to its sister company, LG Electronics, which uses them to build some of the very best TVs you can buy. But LG Display also sells OLED panels to companies like Sony, Philips, and Panasonic, which is why you’ll see OLED TVs from these companies too. Even though the panels themselves are essentially identical, the image processing that Sony, LG, and others do is proprietary, so you’ll still see significant differences in picture quality from one OLED TV to another...^IFV

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the 2019 model 75SM9070PUA and this years model 2020 75SM9070PUA. It seems last years model had some blooming and dark color problems? Any information regarding that in particular would be helpful as the store doesn't have.
Asked by Bat.
- A:Answer Hello Bat. We do not have a 2020 Model # 75SM9070PUA. The "M" in the model number for the TV identifies it as a 1019 model and 2020 models are identified by an "N" in the model number. This year's models are either the LG NanoCell 90 Series 2020 75 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (74.5'' Diag), Model # 75NANO90UNA or the LG NanoCell 91 Series 2020 75 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (74.5'' Diag), Model # 75NANO91ANA. The difference between the two 2020 models is the retailers through which the TVs are sold and that the 785NANO90UNA uses stand legs while the 75NANO91ANA uses the arcline stand. The differences between the 2020 models and the 2019 models is the new LG α7 Gen 3 Processor 4K, Sports Alert Mode, inema HDR w/ Dolby Vision IQ, Filmmaker Mode™, Support for HGiG (HDR Gaming Interest Group) and that the 2020 models will receive a firmware upgrade that adds support for FreeSync, and that the 2020 models have HDMI 2 and HDMI 4 as HDMI 2.1 ports and the other ports are HDMI 2.0 ports.. As for any blooming or dark color issues, regrettably we do not have that information. That information is usually available from reviewers that we submit our TVs to so they can test the units for that type of information...^IFV

Q: QuestionIn an earlier question it was said that HDMI ports 2 and 4 are the HDMI 2.1 ports and the others are HDMI 2.0. However on the LG site it says HDMI 3 is the eARC return channel. Does this mean HDMI port 3 is also HDMI 2.1?
Asked by jtron9k.
- A:Answer Hi jtron9K. The HDMI 3 being an HDMI eARC port on the LG NanoCell 90 Series 2020 75 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (74.5'' Diag), Model # 75NANO90UNA does not mean it is an HDMI 2.1 port. It is a port that supports the HDMI eARC feature. HDMI allows manufacturers to cherry pick HDMI 2.1 features and assign them to specific HDMI ports...^IFV
